Longevity medicine is not about running the greatest possible number of tests or following one-size-fits-all protocols.

Some of the diagnostic tests we offer include:
- Body composition. Body composition is particularly relevant in longevity medicine because preserving muscle and limiting excess fat are key goals of healthy aging. Parameters such as muscle mass, fat mass, and sarcopenia, among others, are measured.
- Biological age. So-called biological age attempts to estimate specific aspects of the body’s biological and functional state using various biomarkers. One of the most widely used approaches involves epigenetic clocks, which analyze specific DNA methylation patterns. The result is an estimate, not a medical diagnosis or an exact prediction of life expectancy.
- OxyTest. An assessment designed to gather information on oxidative stress and antioxidant balance. Oxidative stress occurs when there is an imbalance between the free radicals produced by the body and its capacity to neutralize them via antioxidant systems. The OxyTest measures levels of malondialdehyde (MDA) in urine; MDA is a substance produced when free radicals oxidize specific fats in cell membranes. Its levels can serve as an indirect marker of oxidative damage.
- suPAR. Chronic low-grade inflammation has been linked to numerous processes associated with aging. suPAR (soluble urokinase plasminogen activator receptor) is a protein measurable in the blood that is associated with immune system activation and inflammation. It can help us better understand your body’s level of inflammatory activation and identify potential areas for intervention.
- Genetic tests. Identifying specific genetic variants can provide information on individual predispositions related to various health areas, such as the cardiovascular system, the immune system, and food intolerances.
- Telomeres. Telomeres are structures that protect the ends of chromosomes and progressively shorten with cell division. Their length can serve as an indicator of cellular aging, but it should not be interpreted as an absolute measure of your biological age or as an individual prediction of your lifespan.
- Gut and oral microbiome. The microbiome consists of millions of microorganisms that interact with our body. Gut dysbiosis is a disruption of the balance and diversity of the microorganisms that make up the gut microbiota. It can be associated with digestive issues such as bloating, a feeling of fullness, diarrhea, or constipation, as well as metabolic disorders, inflammation, and changes in the gut-brain axis.
- SIBO. Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) can be associated with symptoms such as a feeling of fullness, bloating, abdominal pain, and disturbances in bowel function.

- VO₂ max. VO₂ max is a measure of cardiorespiratory fitness: it indicates how much oxygen your body can utilize during intense physical exertion. VO₂ max tends to decrease with age. Good cardiorespiratory fitness can help maintain independence, endurance, and the ability to manage daily life for longer. The most accurate measurement is obtained via an exercise test involving respiratory gas analysis.
- DEXA. Aging increases not only the risk of fat accumulation but can also lead to a loss of muscle mass and bone density. DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) is an imaging technique that enables a highly precise analysis of body composition and bone health. It allows for an accurate assessment of factors such as bone mineral density, muscle mass, fat mass, and body composition. Preserving muscle mass and bone health is crucial for maintaining strength, mobility, independence, and quality of life in the long term.

Therapies and Strategies in Longevity Medicine

There is no one-size-fits-all longevity protocol. Interventions depend on your goals, needs, results, and medical situation.

At Medicality, we do not offer an endless catalog of IV drips; instead, we work with established formulas and use IV administration only when there is a medical indication.
